The
Ashgrove Lavender cheese is a club cheese that has been developed to highlight
the distinct flavour of lavender flowers sourced from the Bridestow Estate
Lavender Farm at Nabowla in North Eastern Tasmania.
The Bridestow Estate Lavender Farm (established in 1922) is renowned the world over for the quality of it's lavender oil and dried lavender flowers. The variety of Lavandula angustifolia has been refined over 80 years to produce a lavender flower with a negligible "camphor" content that is ideal for culinary purposes.
The Bridestow Estate lavender flowers produce a delicate flavour that infuses into the cheese. Ashgrove Lavender cheese is an excellent snack cheese.
