Caramel Sauce is perfect for everything – well almost anything!
Cakes, pancakes, crepes, icecream, apples, bananas, shaken up with fresh milk for a home made milkshake – hmmm!
Ingredients
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1tsp Vanilla Extract
1/2 Cup of Ashgrove Traditional Farm House Butter
1 Cup of Ashgrove Pure Natural Cream
Steps
Step 1: Place all ingredients in a saucepan
Step 2: Stir continuously on medium heat until sugar has dissolved
Step 3: Stir and slowly cook for 3 – 5 mins until thick and glossy
Step 4: Pour over cake or let cool and pour into a glass jar ready for use
Tip – add 1/2 cup of roasted peanuts (or any other nut) for a divine nutty caramel sauce
Tip – add 1/4 cup of Whiskey or Bourbon for a dreamy adult version
