How does our cheese stay fresh in transit?
Here at Ashgrove Cheese, we specialize in hard-style cheddar cheeses that are suited to be aged and stored at 15 degrees. Our cheeses can withstand varying temperatures including warm ones. We test all our cheese to make sure that they do not contain harmful bacteria. Our cheese has good cultures to help develop flavours over time and help to preserve the cheese. If the cheese is sealed it will not be unsafe.
All chilled products are packed in a Styrofoam box and/or insulated pouch with Thermoshield reusable gel ice bricks to keep the products cool. If you receive your parcel and the gel ice bricks are melted/warm, we recommend placing the products straight into the fridge.
Our AmazeBalls/Crunchettes are an all-natural ambient snack that does not require refrigeration.
